Trgovina Krk d.d. is the legal successor of the Malinska Agricultural Cooperative founded on November 22, 1945, and the Krk District Trading Company founded on April 17, 1947. After several forms of transformation, it became a joint-stock company in 1992 through the conversion and privatization of social ownership. Today, it has 54 shareholders and belongs to the Čakovečki mlinovi d.d. concern. Trgovina Krk d.d. is the largest retail chain on the island of Krk, the largest Adriatic island, with a century-old tourist tradition that bears the flattering title of “Golden Island”. Activity: The main activity is the retail and wholesale of food and household goods, and it also carries out the retail and wholesale of construction materials and hardware, retail of textiles, and at its own gas station in Malinska it also sells petroleum products. All markets have been modernized and their size, assortment and location are adapted to the needs of the local population and tourists. It has its own fleet of vehicles.
